Plants for your Garden and Balcony

Whether a cosy city balcony or a spacious garden: Now is the perfect time to lay the foundation for a blooming season with flower bulbs, perennials and more.
Mediterranean flair: Olive trees are ideal for gardens and balconies, as they can be planted either in pots or directly in the ground. They prefer a sunny spot and dislike excessive moisture. Tip: Prune either early in spring or in autumn (October).
Flower Power: Ranunculus flowers, when planted in spring, bloom all summer long until the first frost. With a height of 30–40 cm, they’re perfect for borders. They also look stunning in a vase. Plus: These plants thrive in sunny conditions.
Bee friendly: Lavender is a perennial plant from the Mediterranean that gives off a wonderful scent – bees agree! Insects love its purple blooms, turning your garden or balcony into a buzzing oasis. Lavender should be pruned twice a year – in April and October.
Climbing beauty: Mandevilla is one of the most rewarding flowering garden plants – from May until the first frost, you can enjoy its trumpet-shaped blooms and lovely scent in your garden or on the balcony. It produces long vines that can easily cover walls and fences. But take care: this tropical plant is not frost-resistant and needs to overwinter in a sheltered spot.
Tropical paradise: The Monstera brings a touch of retro charm to any interior. Since the plant loves warm temperatures and high humidity, you can also place it on your balcony in the summer to create a tropical retreat. Let it gradually adjust to the outdoors and choose a semi-shaded spot.
